Born in Manhasset, New York on March 20, 1970; Admitted to Bar, 1994; Education - University of Michigan (B.S. in “The Law and Psychology of Abnormal Social Behavior” 1991); DePaul University College of Law (J.D. 1994).

Biography:

Ms. Eggert Jack is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. She is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Abraham Lincoln Inns of Court, the Peoria Chamber of Commerce, and participates in YPO (Young Professional Organization) events locally.

Before joining the Vonachen firm, Ms. Eggert Jack was employed by the State of Illinois, Office of the Commissioner of Savings and Residential Finance (now the Office of Banks and Real Estate) as Assistant General Counsel. In her time with the State, Ms. Eggert Jack gained a wealth of experience both civil and administrative, in the areas of financial regulation and administrative law. Ms. Eggert Jack concentrated her practice on the regulation of mortgage bankers and brokers, and participated in extensive efforts to draft amendatory and enabling legislation. Following her time at the OCSRF, Ms. Eggert Jack worked with a Chicago "gold coast" real estate developer and for BancTrust as Vice President of mortgage lending.

Ms. Eggert Jack's current practice is focused primarily on domestic relations including divorce, child custody, support, juvenile matters and post-decree modifications. She also has experience with DCFS service appeals and expungement cases. Ms. Eggert Jack practices primarily in Peoria, Fulton and Tazewell counties.

Ms. Eggert Jack is a Guardian Ad Litem for the Probate and Domestic Relations Court in Peoria and Tazewell Counties, and has undergone Supreme Court Rules Series 900 training to become a qualified GAL in cases involving minors.

Ms. Eggert Jack participates in many not for profit activities through her charities of choice. She is President of the Jewish Federation of Peoria, Past President of Hillel of Bradley University, and Past Director of the Peoria Hebrew Day School in Peoria, Illinois. She has chaired the annual campaign for the Jewish Federation and is an active participant in the organization's community relations group.

Community Involvement

Michelle Eggert Jack has served at the President, of the Jewish Federation of Peoria, and as Past President of Hadassah of Peoria, Bradley University Hillel, and PTO Peoria Day School. She is Past Director of Advancement, for Peoria Day School, and Chairperson of Peoria Forward. During 2011, she was an organizer for the Divorce Clinic sponsored by the Peoria County Bar Association during 2011.
