James Konsky
Education:
Admitted to Bar in 1975; Education - Southern Illinois University (B.A. 1969); University of Iowa (M.A. 1974; J.D. with High Distinction 1974).
Biography:
He is a member of the American Bar Association (Member Construction Law and Labor/Employment Law Sections), Illinois State Bar Association, and is on the Board of the Illinois Community College Attorneys' Association. He is a former instructor of Business Law at Illinois State University and has spoken to various contractors organizations on topics related to Construction Law.
Mr. Konsky has considerable expertise in the area of commercial, construction and employment litigation. He has represented contractors throughout Illinois in matters involving mechanics liens, payment and performance bond claims, insurance coverage litigation, and construction defects. His practice includes litigation in state and federal courts and frequently mediation or arbitration. Mr. Konsky also represents as general counsel several units of local government and has been retained by other units of local government as special counsel in employment related matters.
